Apprenticeships

What are Apprenticeships?

An apprenticeship is a work-based training programme aimed at improving the skills of current and future employees primarily for people aged between16 and 18 although you can still be funded at any age.

They are ideal if you want to earn whilst you learn.  You can train for a skilled job, learn a trade and gain valuable work experience.

Apprenticeships are training programmes designed around the needs of employers which lead to nationally recognised qualifications.  You can use apprenticeships to train both new and existing employers and they are now available at intermediate, advanced and higher levels.
