National Apprenticeship Week
The fifth national apprenticeship week takes place from Monday 6th February until Friday 10th February. Skills and Enterprise and Riverside College will be holding a series of events to raise awareness and showcase the talents of our own apprentices.

Apprenticeship Open Evening
On Monday 6th February we are holding a dedicated apprenticeship open evening. Anyone who wants to find out more about apprenticeships can come along.
So whether you are interested in being an apprentice or you would like to employ an apprentice don’t miss the opportunity to come and see us in Centre Stage at the Kingsway Campus where our dedicated team of experts will be on hand to advise and guide you.

First Tuesday Breakfast Networking Meeting
On Tuesday 7th February we will be attending the Halton Chamber of Commerce First Tuesday Breakfast Networking meeting. The networking meeting is attended by Chamber members and a representative of the Skills & Enterprise team will be guest speaking about the benefits of apprenticeships to business.

Get With Apprentices Employer Surgery
The Skills and Enterprise team will be at the Heath Business & Technical Park on Tuesday 7th February. We will be accompanied by some of our students who will get the opportunity to shadow the Heath operations team and find out what it’s like to work in a busy business centre. Our business advisers will also be on hand to advise on apprenticeships and training need and we will be offering a free organisational needs analysis.

Centre of Excellence – Hairdressing & Beauty Therapy Launch
Internationally renowned celebrity hairdresser Lee Stafford is coming to Riverside to launch our Hairdressing & Beauty Therapy Centre of Excellence.
This exclusive Centre Stage event will provide Riverside students and local hairdressing employers with an opportunity to see Lee demonstrate the hairdressing talents that have seen him rise to the top of his profession.

Apprenticeships Awards Night
On Thursday 8th February we will be celebrating the achievements of our talented apprentices and recognising the support and contributions of their employers. With this awards ceremony we can showcase our apprentice success stories of the year with various categories of awards to be presented. The event will be catered by our own hospitality and catering students and include guest speakers and performances from our creative and performing arts students
